Cubs lose!

And Uncle Don wins!

Current scores:
Don - 2
Judi & Me - 1

The rest of you schmucks - 0

(If all these series end in sweeps, it's gonna be a long week until the ALCS.)

After the Rockies' win last night the scores are as follows:

Caleb: 3
Judi: 3
Don: 2
Dad: 2
Luke: 2
Mom: 2
Laura: 1
Shawn: 1

Anyway how about those Rockies? 17 of their last 18? And who the hell is Jeff Baker anyways?

By the way, the odds of all 4 playoff series ending in sweeps are 1/256.

Both Caleb and Luke are correct. Caleb's was after one series and Luke's was after two. Claire, Kate, Michelle, and Jason have no points as of yet. I will post further results when the next series finishes.

Which should be somewhere around 7pm. And then another around 11 pm. Heh-heh.

The only person who didn't pick the RS in four is Shawn, who picked them in 5.

It's an hour past 7:00 p.m. and no post -- are you all right?

Congratulations to my Red Sox fan friends and family -- course those latter don't read the Murphy blog, they just live in Florence MA.

By the by, my sister Jeanne was giving her daughter's friend a ride back to Florence Friday, and learned the young lady was headed to some obscure place for her aunt's burdthday party this week-end. The obscure place is Earlville NY, and the aunt is Cindy Carter -- my sister learned all about the power line threat during the ride!

Dad said...

Yes, the power line is going to kill us all.

Sorry to be late but cows have to be fed, fences have to be moved, etc.

Doesn't look good for the Yankees. Roger isn't on top of his game but we're only two innings in.

I think I know Florence better than any other place. I can name the people who lived in almost every house in my neighborhood 40 years ago. 50 or 60 of 'em, I'd wager. Course, I was their paperboy.

OK Tom, name them and refresh my memory. Start with the house behind 296 Bridge Road on Grandview that Dad sold his property to. The town bull as I remember.

Can you imagine how Mr. Matthews felt living next to Russells? Matthews had glorious homemade landscaping and russells had dogshit all over the yard. Sometimes mrs. Russell and Ricky would invite me to go gocarting with them. I'd wait and wait for them to say "You wanna try?" but it would never happen. Ricky was a spoiled little shit, but then his mother had some sort of child-raising degree, didn't she?
And the poor matthews. Kevin was soooooooo effeminate, and we were soooooooo mean. We'd be jailed for hate crimes these days. Whatever happened to karen, who was lovely IIRC? Now I really gotta go to the barn.

Chester Gross between Nolls and Gurskis.

Howes isn't right. gotta think.

Before Helliwell was Meunier.

Inner Loop- replace Howes with Towle.

Dad said...

No, wait.. Towles was nest to Cushings. Who the hell was that between Matthew and Carrs.

It'll come to me.

Was it Keenes btween Mulvaney and Doneilo?

I knew something good would come of mentioning Florence.

Pat actually runs into Karen Matthews. I think it turned out that Kevin is married with children> Could that be possible? Nah...
I'm going to see Mom tmorrow, I'll drive through the old neighborhood.
