The reservations are made for the baseball game!

We will be staying here. I reserved two suites: a small one for me and Dad, and a larger one with two beds plus a pull-out couch in the living room for The Kids. There isn't a pool, but we probably won't have time for that, anyway. There is a fitness center.

Also FYI, there is a possibility that the house Eszter is renting on Cape Cod may change: she is considering a bigger one, farther away from the water but with more bedrooms. If that happens, I'll let you know.

Found it!

Here is the link for the house Eszti is renting in Wellfleet.

A visit with family

I just spent a couple of days with Grandma and Grandpa Frey while Liz and Ana were visiting them. I did not take as many pictures as I should have, but we went down to see Ned and Kate on Friday and I did take a few then. Here they are . . .

Eszter has rented a vacation house in Wellfleet, on Cape Cod, for the last week of June and the first week of July, and we are all invited. It's not a big house but it does sound like a nice one. We can't really make firm plans when nobody knows yet what their summer job situations will be, but make a note of the dates and think about it. There is info about the house on the Internet somewhere. When I can find the link, I'll post it.

A leaky faucet caused an overzealous repair guy to start gutting the entire tub and shower. So who knows how long it will be til we have a shower, or water in the house at all.

If you think the shower is dirty, you should see me...

Also, I saw a mugging outside of our house last night. Woke up to hear screaming and yelling and see some guy getting beat up by a bunch of other guys on the sidewalk, who then take his stuff and run away. I called 911, but they didn't seem to do anything. I guess Ithaca is more dangerous than I thought.Posted by Hello

It'll be an early morning. Luke's competing in the Watters Theater in the Fine Arts Building at SUNY Binghamton at 8:18 a.m.--the first team of the day in his Division. Wish him luck!

And you thought the visible cows were a problem . . .

Check out the headaches they have in Hawaii.

The rest of the pictures on this site are pretty funny, too.

Cincinnati or Cinncinnati?

Or Cincinatti? Now we know why so many people just call it Cincy. Maybe by the time I get home Tuesday night, I will know how to spell it.

Coming home tomorrow

Its affirmative, Kaitlin is on her way here. She will be taking me home tomorrow. I honestly have no idea when to expect us. Probably before 6 at least.

M&D, thanks for all the entertainment with these whacky websites. Keep 'em coming.

The farm from above

Here's a satellite picture of the Home of the Murphies. You can zoom in partway and fool around to see other views, including a topo map. Fun fun fun!

This year's NY OM pins

Here is an article from the Binghamton paper with the placement from Saturday's competition and with pictures of a couple of pins. I think the quarter one is actually pretty clever, and Luke definitely needs to own the weight-lifting one. It's a good idea to turn pin design over to kids--they seem to do a better job with it than the state organization has done in the past!
