The sand is black from the volcanic rock. You have to run from your towel to the water or you will burn your toes off.

We climbed a volcano. I didn't get any good pictures of the volcano as a whole, but this picture gives you the idea of the terrain.

What gorgeous pictures. I particularly like the one of the houses on the hillside reflecting the sunset in all different shades of rose. I'd like to paint that.
Even better, I'd like to go there MYSELF.
The Santorini sunset is one of the best I've ever seen. It rivals the sun setting over the Genesee valley at school.
