Int he interest of exercise and tiring him out, he raced the truck home from the north forty. I swear he hit twenty-five on the first downhill.
He's had several more escapes. He likes to go down to Warren's old house. There's a dog there and probably something else enticing behind the house, like a rotting carcass or something country like that. Last evening, I watched from the top of the bank as he ran out into the road, bringing a car to a near halt and running along in front of it for a couple hunnert feet.
Today, we were fencing (keeping the cows in with swords) and he slowly snuck away until he made a break for the house (you should see him run!). I caught him at the barn and made him come back out with me.
It is really getting worrying. He sneaks down to Warrens' every chance he gets. He hates and despises being tied out on that line, but it may come to having to treat him like a town dog: if he's not inside or out being walked by a person who can watch him, he'll have to be tied up.

I"m so glad I have a dog.

I hope he doesn't go that fast while fencing. It could get dangerous.
We trained him not to run with his epee in his mouth.
