I posted this directly from The Corner which is why it looks weird. And it's in Britain, obviously. But, it's one of those stranger than truth things. I read it and I say, "What?"

As far as I can tell, Britain has lost its collective mind. While we may not be all that far behind them here, I am pretty sure that this, at least, would not be tolerated here:

To take the true measure of what life in England is like these days, read the comments. They are worse than the article, as one reader after another not only accepts but applauds what the government did, with comments like, "Well, they let their children get fat -- what did they expect?"

At one time I admired England and thought that someday I'd like to try living there for a while. No longer!
