American Idol

So everybody's too busy this year for American Idol. Except me and Mom! "What are we gonna watch tonight?" Which is too bad because the talent level is up dramatically this year. There are two women who are mind-blowingly good, and several others who would have been contenders last year.

So, there will be an AI contest anyway. It will start after this week's elimination of four more contestants to bring it down to 12. The point system will be the same as last year's unless someone makes a better suggestion.

All are welcome to enter. Except maybe Arnold.

One of my classmate's cousins was on AI until a week or two ago. I haven't watched it since then, i have no idea who's who. It will probably be to my advantage.

My feelings are hurt.

Now that auditions and all that crap is over, I've been watching.
I will be back. And I'm still angry that I didn't win last year, so watch out.

Laura is HOT! Yer da bomb! It worked for me!

Arnie, christ, stop being such a sensitive. We'll let you play.

Caleb, which contestant was your classmate's cousin?

What are the rules and how do you play? In my year off I've become addicted to Monday nite TV, American Idol and Dancing with the Stars. Which pretty much takes up my evenings. So far, none of the men can sing but about six women can hit it out of the park. If I start voting for my favorite AI, I'll really start to worry about myself. So, can I play? can I play? Huh? Huh?

Claire, you're saying Monday Night TV AND American Idol, right? Not Monday Night TV IS American Idol, right? Cause AI is not on on Monday night. But 24 is. Which, BTW, I have season 1 on DVD.

Yeah, the women are, mostly, spectacular, and the men are, mostly, not. But a man won last year who, while a talented entertainer, was not a spectacular singer.

I have yet to phone in a vote. But one of the first two men voted out was my favorite.

Yes, you can play. Watch this space.

You can invite your friends, too. I don't have any except Arnie. I know it's because I don't care about the environment, but I can't help myself. I just hate the environment.

I keep hearing this ad for Oprah on xmradio. She's talking to this, um, guy who is, like, a "spiritualist" or something like that, and it is just one of the damnedest things I ever heard. I think I'll have it memorized shorthly and I'll be able to post it verbatim. I have to manually close my mouth after each time I hear it. And, of course, you know I get knocked down, but I'm an Oprah fan, and they're never gonna keep me down.

Time for a manhattan yet?

dunno. Is it after three-thirty?
