Not that I like the ownership troika. I wish they were less visible. But...
Where were the other teams when Brad Penny and John Smoltz were available? Why do we have seven or eight (Buchholz, Bowden) starting pitchers who are major league ready when the other teams are scrambling for four or five?
It's almost like it's not fair.
My hat is off. Or, as Bert Blyleven said today on MLB Home Plate, "My hat goes out to them."
