Even our own beloved SE has a few stories like this. Luke, do you remember getting a day or two of in-school suspension early in sixth grade for "fighting" because you and Tim were wrestling outside? The principal, whose name I am leaving out on purpose because this is the Internet, admitted to me that he knew you were having fun, not mad at each other, and not fighting, so that the right discipline would have been for horseplay -- basically, just asking you to stop. But he gave you both the punishment for fighting anyway, in order to "pacify" the aide. His word. And then, in in-school detention, they let you sit there and watch MTV!
