Life Goes On

Cousin/nephew Michael sent along this 8 minute photostory of the transition of a marginal old-time farm into a housing development. It is SO well done, and devoid of the usual crap about how great life used to be.

In many places, people like the new residents of the development have parts of their paychecks confiscated so that the government or some other "benevolent" organization can use their money to buy and "preserve" farmland, thereby reducing the supply of building lots and driving up the price of other lots. Just another government scam.

The markets are perfectly capable of preserving all the farmland we'll need.
