Sequestering Carbon? Carbon? What's next? Nitrogen? And, get this: The Solar Shade Protection Act. Some people really mean it when they say there oughta be a law.
I am boggled.

Here is another article, with picture s including an aerial view of the trees, the properties, and the panels. And here is the text of the California Solar Shade Control Act. (I noticed in researching that several cities in California have exempted themselves from it. Apparently, this one didn't.)
This case would be a lot simpler if they would stop bickering over who's doing more for the "environment," and just figured out the case using simple property rights.
But Luke, this is happening in California. They don't think like that!
