Well, not really. All that it says is that the 4 sub-shapes are the same in both the top and bottom quadrilaterals, which is true. Your eyes are the liars here, since they're the ones telling you that the two quadrilaterals are triangles. Stupid eyes.
I believed my lying eyes for a couple of hours and could NOT figure out why neither figure had the area that a triangle with those dimensions should have, not to mention that they had two different areas. I kept re-checking my arithmetic until eventually, light dawned.
