The only problem with watching stuff from 2004 is that it makes me a little sad to realize that I will probably never see anything that amazing occur in sports again.
Absolutely. I love that segment starting at 4 minutes in where he's just running around telling everybody he can find, "don't let us win tonight!" It was like he viewed being down 3-0 as an opportunity to do something amazing, instead of an obstacle.
Well, that much drama within a series could certainly happen again, but the historical context won't ever be there again. Maybe when the Cubs finally win won.
Whoops. Two corrections: The power of Millar can not be OVERestimated. Duh. Also walks, not walk. And yes, "Don't let us win tonight!" The power of positive thinking.
What a shameless jerk is Dan Shaughnessy. He called them frauds because they were down 3-0. How does that even begin to make sense? So, the 101 games that they had won before those 3 were all somehow phony, and the REAL Red Sox were the team that showed up for those 3 losses? That's ridiculous. You'd think he'd never followed an entire baseball season before.

Well, not with that attitude.
The power of Millar can NOT be underestimated. And I'm not talking about the walk.
That was great. Thanks, Luke!
