The significance is a little murky, which is why it wasn't really that big of a deal to me. It's mainly to symbolize the end of classroom learning and the beginning of clinical learning, except that we still have another month and a half left of the semester and then only some of us will be starting clinical rotations in January - the rest of us will still be in classrooms. It's supposed to celebrate the doctor-ness of the white coat, really. The practice of the craft. No one seemed all that sure what exactly it was for, or how to put on a good ceremony, but it was alright.
And yes, I think I'm in pretty good shape at this point.

Wow, what great pictures! Thanks, Laura, for the prompt photo-journalism -- and for skillfully managing to capture part of Caleb's head on-stage. ;-)
Congratulations, Caleb and Kate!
Pray, what is the significance of the White Coat ceremony?
And is it a pretty good indicator that you are not going to flunk out?
Nice job, Laura.
