So dad...

According to your system, what would A-Fraud's score be for tonight (and, can we keep calling him that?)?
M and D, you are truly mean. I emailed you 3 days ago, and no response. NOTHING.

A pileated woodpecker visits our yard. It's not much of a picture, but it was taken through the window glass, and in haste. There's more on pileated woodpeckers (and better pictures) here. Posted by Hello

Hello, sports fans!

Salary considerations aside, if you had to choose between Johnson/Pavano and Wells/Clement, who would you pick? It's early yet, but it looks as if Theo has done it again. I may even learn to like Wells. Adios, Pedro.

And how good does the Nomar trade look now?

One more thing for farmers to worry about . . .

Maybe Dad's bulk tank got so full by the overuse of that dangerous chemical, dihydrogen monoxide. That's what this web page would probably claim, anyway. Check it out and follow the link at the bottom to the main page. But whatever you do, don't stop reading before you get to the priceless exchange of letters between the page's creators and the editor of "Hoard's Dairyman." (And Dad, if you know, what on earth does the editor mean when he says, in the first letter, that Hoard's "reverses the rear legs on professionally photographed cows"? How would they do that? Why would they do that??)

If we are going to have toilet pictures on this blog, I am going to fight back with some flowers.  Posted by Hello

Here's the other toilet picture!  Posted by Hello

I was reseating the bathroom toilet when I came across these two plastic disks in the new flange bolt package. I said, "What are these for?" I read the directions and found the words above. Somebody had a brilliant idea. If you've never reseated a toilet you won't know, until now, that when you go to set the toilet on the flange, it's very difficult to get the bolts up through the holes in the toilet without having them move and get all this gross wax all over them. But with the plastic disks, the bolts don't move! Is that great or what?

There should be two pictures below, but I don't know if they both published or not.

Further DIY tips will appear in the future as warranted.

All right, all right -- here they are. You can see a few more of them here. (I have been fooling around with Flickr, which uploads photos much more quickly and easily than Webshots does. It will also upload pictures directly to the blog, but I don't like the way it lays them out, so I used Picasa for these.)

Okay, Laura, it's your turn! We still want to see the gorge ones, too, don't forget. (You could just post a link to Webshots if you put them there.)
