My cousin Jack Canty posted this shot on Facebook, taken last night at Opening Ceremonies at Worlds in the propitious location of Ames, Iowa. Oh, the memories.  Here's an article about his fourth-grade daughter's team, and here's their picture:

That's your cousin Maeve, once removed, in pink.  If you enlarge the picture, you will see one heck of a lot of pencils on the props and backdrop.  The team's skit is set in "Pencilvania."  Good luck to Maeve and the State Street Elementary School from Skaneateles, New York!  Team, are you ready?

I couldn't decide whether to post flowers for Mother's Day, a birthday cake for Dad, or just a picture of Jamie. So here's all three.

Did he really say that?  I'm talking about what he said at 30 seconds in.  So strange.  Similar to the speech he gave in Afghanistan where he exclaimed, "..and you have ME in the house."
