Congratulations . . .
to Laura, who has finally been rewarded for patience, hard work, competence, and determination with an actual real live job . . . and a darned good one, too. We're proud of you!

Hello!
It's summer -- that means, it's time once again for flocks of ice cream trucks to wing their way back north to Philadelphia, where they can spend the summer driving Laura crazy. Just to be helpful, I thought I'd post this jingle recorded by a trained observer from a wild ice cream truck in its native habitat. Personally, I think it's almost as weirdly compelling and catchy as TroLoLoLo . . . though I might feel differently if it played outside my window every day!

Elvis
He's in the house, and he's singing, "Danny Boy".
And, if that doesn't get ya, he's also singing, "I'm So Lonesome I could Cry."

Look who's licensed
in New York!
(Caleb -- an envelope containing what's probably the frame-able version arrived the other day from the Office of Professions. Let us know whether to forward it or hang onto it for you.)

Overturn?

I say, "You betcha."
You betcha.
Nothing of any importance would be altered. A hit that wasn't will be taken away. The final out will be expunged. A very, very clean fix. And a kid who deserves it gets a perfect game.
Other opinions?
Also, three perfect games in a season? Amazing.
Finally, is Jacoby soft? No, he isn't. I can tell you from experience that it can take three months for the pain from a cracked rib to subside.
