It's been so cold on Nantucket lately that the harbor on the mainland side is frozen, and even on the ocean side, the water near the shore is freezing up. Here are spectacular pictures taken by a photographer named Jonathan Nimerfroh of what waves look like when the ocean is in the process of freezing.
