A SiteMeter Mystery

I scrolled down to peek at SiteMeter just now, and it said 27,000.

27,000 visits! Holy smoke!

I thought I'd memorialize it by pasting it into this post, so I copied the image and pasted it over here. But somehow, post-copying and pre-pasting, it ticked up another visit, all by itself. See?

Look at that! Another one! Interesting -- I thought that by copying it, I would get a screen grab of that moment, but no -- it's another whole ticker, counting along just like the original. That means the post makes no sense.

OH well.

There have been 34 visits to the blog since last night at 9:30!

We are so popular.

I am sitting next to this girl in the library who is chewing her gum with her mouth open and occasionally breathing it back into her mouth with loud gurgling and popping noises and I want to smack her in the face.

Aaaand finally I saw my first episode of American Idol since the auditions last night and I was really impressed with that Brook girl. Paula and Randy are idiots, Simon speaks the truth.

Yeah? Well I'm sitting next to a fart machine. The whole house is polluted. Second-hand methane kilss thousands every year.

I love the way Brooke looks and her original style, and last night I liked her better than I have in recent weeks. But I think there are several competitors with better voices, especially among the guys. Quite a few of them ae really good.

As for the girl in the library, just bump her off and be done with her. There is no little personal habit more infuriatingly rude than noisy gum-chewing. Especially in a library!

I think slurping her gum back in is more appropriate than gurgling. Its a mix.

I haven't heard any of the guys, but all I heard last night was a bunch of schreechy girls. I've only seen this one night. I just appreciate the fact that Brook realizes that a song doesn't have to be shouted and powered through to be a good performance. Someone needs to tell those gals that less is more.

I just went to YouTube and watched Brooke over again. It grows on me with re-watching. She is singing as if she means it. (Interesting to compare it to the Pat Benatar version, also on YouTube.) (I can't spell Benetar.)

At least you're inconsistent in your spelling.
